Will a press release help my SEO?

No. Google ignores links in press releases, and treats releases written to pass links as spam. A press release announces your business and website to news sites, local press, partners and customers.

What do I actually get?

You write the press release, and we review it and tell you what to change.

Not sure what goes in one? A headline, the announcement, a quote from you, a short paragraph about the business and your contact details. Once you are happy with it we send it out, and you keep a copy to use however you like.

Where does the release go?

We send it through ABNewswire, a press release distribution service. Their network of news sites publishes it in full in their press release sections, and ABNewswire guarantees at least 100 of them. Within 72 hours you get a report with a link to every site that ran it.

The sites publish your release as written. A journalist writing a story about you is a separate thing, and only happens if one of them follows it up.

What if I change my mind?

You have 14 days from buying to withdraw, without giving a reason.

  • Before we start, you get everything back.
  • After we start, you pay for the part already done and we refund the rest.
  • Once the service is delivered (the call has happened, the audit is in your inbox, the release has gone out, the site is live), you can’t withdraw, because you asked us at checkout to start straight away.

Each service’s terms page says exactly when we start and when it counts as delivered. To withdraw, use our withdrawal page or email us. If something we delivered isn’t what we described, tell us and we’ll put it right.

Who actually does the work?

Jethro and Heidi. Nobody else works on it and we outsource nothing. We build and run our own websites, and that experience is what you’re paying for.
