AI policy

1. Purpose of this policy

This policy describes how artificial intelligence tools are used by Mr. Jethro Pickering and Ms. Heidi Hein, trading as Built With Skills ("we" or "us"), in producing the content of the website located at https://www.builtwithskills.com (the "Website"), the community operated on the Circle platform (the "Community"), and any coaching or done-for-you Service we provide. It is not required by any specific statutory provision applicable to us at the date of publication, and is published on a voluntary basis for the purpose of transparency.

2. Permitted uses

We use artificial intelligence tools for research, organisation, transcription, and the production of an initial draft that is subsequently reviewed and rewritten by us. No content is published in the form in which an artificial intelligence tool produced it, and no such tool is used as a substitute for our own editorial judgement or authorial voice.

3. Use in the performance of paid Services

Where we perform a coaching or done-for-you engagement on your behalf, an artificial intelligence tool may similarly be used for research or an initial draft in connection with the deliverables of that engagement. Any material provided to you, or any advice given to you, is reviewed by us before delivery and reflects our own professional judgement, not that of any automated tool.

4. Prohibited uses

We do not publish material produced by an artificial intelligence tool without material human review and revision, attribute such material to ourselves as though it were entirely our own, fabricate a testimonial or a result by means of such a tool, or use such a tool to represent our expertise or experience as being other than it is. The prohibition on unsupported claims set out in our earnings disclaimer applies equally to a claim generated or assisted by an artificial intelligence tool.

5. Personal data and model training

We do not submit content of communications from members or clients (including Community posts, correspondence, or client materials) to an artificial intelligence tool for the purpose of training a model. Where a tool we use processes such content for another purpose, for example to summarise or transcribe it, that processing is governed by our privacy policy, and we favour, where reasonably practicable, tools whose provider does not use submitted content to train its own models.

6. Content generated by members within the Community

Where a post within the Community appears to have been generated in its entirety by an artificial intelligence tool, we will ask the member concerned to restate the post in their own words before considering its removal.

7. Amendments

Practice concerning artificial intelligence tools, and the law applicable to them, including Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the "AI Act"), continues to develop. We will amend this policy as our practice changes, and will update the revision date at the top of this page accordingly.
